Testimonial

I must say you did an awesome job. I did have to smile when I heard the birds. Mom lives on the farm surrounded by about 70 acres of trees and one of her routines include sitting at the table with a cup of coffee and watching the wildlife, including the birds that eat from the feeders she keeps close by. Thank you, I can’t wait to see her face when she hears this.

Story Behind the Song

Loving Hands is a story of hard work done with the family in mind. The lyricist pays tribute to a mother’s hands, “always a source of knowledge and comfort/cooking and cleaning, making meals stretch to feed that extra guest by peeling another potato.” They were “never too busy to pitch the ball or help with homework.” Those hands were creative, from redoing furniture and putting up wallpaper to putting together many quilt patterns. For grandchildren and great-grandchildren, “small outfits to be sewn/blankets to be sewn or crocheted.” Listen, pause, and reflect on the countless hours filled with labor from Loving Hands.
