Story Behind the Song
When a heart is broken, how does it get pieced back together? The words of, What of Me, project the pain of a breakup as the lyricist watches the pieces of her heart continuously get washed away by the shore, and yet return with the tide. The lines, '“what of me, what of me, I cry out to the waves embody a sadness that is deeper than the ocean,” as this lost soul tries to find a new purpose and path.
