Story Behind the Song
The song, You Are Welcome Here, is about a Mission House that is run by a missionary couple in the poorest portion of the rain forest in Honduras that the lyricist and his wife support with their nonprofit- Help Others Work. The Mission House has over 50+ children that have been abandoned or abused. Even through the lyrics may sound dreary or sad, these youngsters are receiving the best physical, mental, and spiritual care compared to other children in the area. This song is for them.
