Wow, she has a great voice, and exactly the right kind of mature sound I was looking for - perfect! It sounds really good, with the jazzy tone I wanted.

Story Behind the Song

You May Say is a song about the many ways of love. The lyricist-as-lover muses, “You may say some things about the people you’ve been dating/You may say some things about the things that you do/You may tell me lots of things you hope I’ll be hating/What you’re really saying is I matter to you.” The loved one goes down a spiral; “tell the world that you’re all right/Go out and party every night/and make sure everybody can see.” They just want to create tension “all those times that I could mention/I know you pay attention to me.” So turn the lights down low and listen to the jazzy tune, and think about all the love behind You May Say.
