Story Behind the Song
The lyricist says “I fell in love with her pretty fast, and we both love hiking and camping together. So I wanted to show her that even with the beautiful world around us…I still saw only her. I didn’t really know how I was going to propose but I did know I wanted it to be special and unique.
“Will you marry me?” Although these are four simple words, combined there is nothing simplistic about the question! A marriage proposal is as unique and beautiful as the couple starting their journey of forever. This song encompasses all of the sentiments of asking another to become his/her life partner in love, commitment, and devotion. The words echo the emotions of the proposal’s moment: passion, excitement, and romance. SPOILER ALERT: The answer to the lyricist’s proposal was, “Yes!”
